Opts for RIM's smartphones ahead of iPhone.
BusinessWeek has announced the launch of a mobile application offering access to its website content, including personalised features.
The free app has been launched for BlackBerry handsets, and is being distributed via BusinessWeek's own site as well as through RIM's BlackBerry App World.
"In this increasingly busy world, it's important for our users to have the information they need right at their fingertips," says BusinessWeek.com boss Roger Neal.
The personalisation features include the ability to create a company watchlist, tracking stock quotes and stories for a set of companies that the user is interested in.
It's interesting that BusinessWeek has opted to launch its app on BlackBerry rather than iPhone. It could be a sign of rationally deciding what handsets its core readership is most likely to be using.

The app was built for BusinessWeek by Polar Mobile, whose website states that the app is "coming soon" for iPhone too.
