Part of a wider partnership to make story book iOS apps.
Montreal developer Budge Studios has inked a deal to make 'story book' iOS apps based on a number of Nickelodeon TV shows.
It's kicking off with Dora's Christmas Carol Adventure, based on Dora the Explorer. It's due for release on 1st December.
Budge Studios is also working on apps based on SpongeBob SquarePants. The company's apps will include a mixture of stories, songs and mini-games.
"This collaboration with Budge Studios is part of our ongoing mission to provide kids and families with entertainment using the most current technology and platforms," says Nickelodeon's EVP for digital Steve Youngwood.
"Kids are embracing the iPhone and iPad as much as their parents and these new apps will allow them to interact with their favorite Nick characters on portable devices they can take almost anywhere."
