BSNL set to roll out video services

The giant Indian telco BSNL has chosen Dilithium to build mobile video streaming services over 2G and 3G.

It plans to roll out live TV services in early 2009. The Dilithium solution enables streaming, two-way video calling and other video services.

"It has been an honour to help BSNL bring mobile video solutions to the India market," said Uno Mehta, senior VP of Dilithium's Value Added Services Business Unit. "Our ability to provide comprehensive end to end solutions for both circuit switched and packet switched video made us a good fit for BSNL's requirements."
