And they've checked in 31 million times so far.
US app developer Booyah has announced that it's signed up more than 450,000 registered users for its MyTown iPhone app.
That's since its launch in December, so isn't bad going. The app gets people to check in at local shops, restaurants and venues, earning points to level up and 'buy' real-world locations. It's like Foursquare meets Monopoly.
Booyah says its users have checked in more than 31 million times from 2.1 million unique locations. Oh, and users are spending an average of 30 minutes a day using the app.
What's more, CEO Keith Lee isn't afraid to smack-talk the app's main rivals. "We are amazed to see that MyTown is growing in popularity at such a rapid pace – our numbers are more than double Foursquare and Gowalla combined," he says.
"We built the foundation of MyTown as a location-based app meant to evolve and grow over time; we’re responding to the feedback and taking the service to the next level in the upcoming weeks."

We're hoping that includes expansion to the UK - right now, MyTown is North America only.
