Social location game is even more fashionable now.
US startup Booyah has announced a deal with clothing retailer H&M for its social location iPhone game MyTown.
When players of the game - which is a cross between Foursquare and Monopoly - are near an H&M store in the US, they'll see virtual clothing items within the app.
If they check in at the store, they'll get money off the real-world versions of those clothes. According to VentureBeat, there's also a virtual H&M scratchcard that will give players extra points.
Booyah hasn't announced the commercial terms of the deal, but if H&M is paying - or if Booyah is getting a cut of the sales - it could be a lucrative new revenue stream for MyTown, which is free to play.
One of its rivals, Gowalla, recently signed its own virtual items deal with iPhone accessories firm InCase.
