BOLT displays and compresses full web pages. It has been downloaded over 2.7 million times since its February 2009 debut, and has also been selected by a number of handset manufacturers as the standard browser on new lines.
Version 1.6 offers full socket-based connectivity which can increase the page rendering speed by as much as 15 per cent. It also includes a new password manager, allowing usernames and passwords to be saved by the browser for easier and faster logins to users’ favourite websites and online applications. BOLT 1.6 can now be set as the default browser on smartphones.
