Alexander, a veteran of the mobile and entertainment space with senior roles at Sega, Pearson, Player X and others on his CV, is the firm's new executive chairman.
Meanwhile, erstwhile CEO Eric Hobson is leaving the company and not being replaced.
It could be assumed that Hobson's departure is connected to the injection of new cash. Maybe the VCs had a difference of opinion with him.
Whatever, Connect2Media has secured new investment from YFM and Acuity Capital, so it can expand its operation in North America and build on the recent acquisition of Sennari and the PrizePlay mobile platform.
The firm says it has already secured contracts with operators in the US, and is in the process of delivering conventional products alongside PrizePlay.
