Blippar brings image recognition to Heineken

Augmenting the parts other beers cannot reach via campaign with Irish music festival.

The partnership will promote the Green Spheres Weekender music event, and is enabled through a 'Blippable' ad in the Irish Metro Herald.

Blippar’s AR technology allows readers to view a promotional video containing exclusive content of the artists playing before tickets go on sale tomorrow.

The ad also contained instructions on how to download and use the blippar app to access the content.

Blippar previously worked with the Irish Metro Herald in September 2011 to create the world’s first augmented reality newspaper, with ‘blippable’ content linked to the paper’s editorial and advertising.

The Green Spheres Weekender will take place across 1st, 2nd and 3rd December at four venues in Dublin.
