That's from 20 million registered users
RIM says that BlackBerry App World has 20 million registered users generating nearly one million app downloads each day, 12 month's after it launched.
The figures were given up yesterday by Research in Motion co-CEO Jim Balsillie in the build up to the company's Wireless Enterprise Symposium (WES) conference.
The obvious thing to do is compare RIMs stats with those of the iPhone App Store, which when extrapolated from Apple's top line numbers points to about 10-20 million downloads a day (and one billion in total in the first year).
In that respect, BlackBerry App World (41m addressable market) compares much more favourably with Nokia's Ovi Store (50 million addressable market), which was generating 1.6 million downloads a day at the last count.
