Thanks to 7.4m mobile bets placed in the quarter.
Overall, the betting firm had a poor three months to July 31st with revenues down seven per cent year on year to £80.8m.
But within this, mobile revenues soared to £4.2m. That's nearly double the 2010 quarter.
In June, the firm confirmed it had transacted more than £1 billion of bets through its mobile apps and sites in the company's last financial year.
Betfair has launched HTML5 web apps for Android, and has made an API available for external developers to build its service into their apps, offering them a five per cent share of resulting revenues.
