Extraordinarily, the Motorola RAZR V3 is still the best-selling phone in the US.
Despite widespread reports of Moto’s painful death, it seems the US device maker’s iconic clamshell still beguiles the American consumer. NPD Group says the RAZR outsold iPhone 3G, BlackBerry Curve, LG Chocolate and BlackBerry Pearl in the top five. It helps that the phone is sold everywhere, often free on a contract.Sadly for Moto, it makes little revenue from each sale, and has yet to follow up with a similarly sexy model.
