Social location coupons coming to 257 stores by the start of October.
US retailer Best Buy has confirmed more details on its partnership with mobile social location service Shopkick.
The Shopkick app lets users get discounts and deals when they visit a store in the real world. Shopkick unveiled the app earlier this month.
Best Buy will be supporting the app in 187 stores today, and will expand that number to 257 by the start of October.
"We think consumers have more opportunities than ever to bridge their digital and physical shopping experiences, particularly through smart phones and mobile technology," says Best Buy's VP of marketing services Matthew Smith.
"We intend to explore ways we can use the power of location-based technology to personalize a Best Buy shopping experience, from check-in to check-out, with rewards and offers delivered right on a customer’s smart phone."
