Belgian sweetener for ScreenTonic

Belgian operators Mobistar and Proximus have chosen ScreenTonic as their mobile advertising provider.

The dual deal will see ScreenTonic's STAMP platform serve up ads within the PlazZza mobile search engine, which is accessible via the Mobistar and Proximus WAP portals (Orange World and Vodafone Live, respectively).

Belgium's third operator, Base, is expected to offer PlazZza as part of its i-mode service imminently, though there's no word yet on whether ScreenTonic will be powering ads there too.

Didier Kuhn, CEO of ScreenTonic, said: "This agreement confirms our technological advance in an increasingly competitive market and our leading position in mobile advertising in Europe. The success of our recently opened UK subsidiary and the formation of a dedicated Belgium team underlines the acceleration of our development in the international arena."

ScreenTonic is also powering mobile ads on the Orange World portal in the UK.
