Social network benefits from the glow of Bebo Open Mobile.
On February 2nd, Bebo announced O2 UK as its first Core Bebo Open Mobile partner and reported a 60 per cent monthly increase in Bebo page views on its network in December 2008.Three weeks later, Bebo Open Mobile was extended to all operators in Canada including Fido, Rogers Wireless and Virgin Mobile Canada, with the result that Canadian traffic to the Bebo website grew 43 per cent.
Open Mobile is pitched at operators, handset manufacturers and mobile software developers and packages Bebo mobile services into a single integrated programme. It offers them access to Bebo’s global user base and the tools to deliver the Bebo mobile social networking experience over their own networks.
