Fab Four making hay on Apple's music store since their digital debut.
In less than two months since making their digital debut on Apple's iTunes Store, The Beatles have sold five million individual tracks, plus one million full albums.
The figures were revealed by Apple to The Hollywood Reporter. Abbey Road is the most popular Fab Four album on iTunes, while Here Comes The Sun is the most popular song.
The news means The Beatles have generated more than $20 million in gross revenues from iTunes since the launch in November.
Small beer compared to the billions Apple is making from selling iPhones and iPod touches, perhaps. However, it shows that there was some pent-up demand for Beatles downloads.
The catalogue continues to be promoted heavily on iTunes. Over Christmas, a number of stars chose their favourite Beatles song for the store - a promotion that made the iTunes homepage.
