BBC launches mobile travel site

The service offers information on delays and disruption to transport services.

Users are able to search by road, postcode or town name, sort the results by time or severity of delay, and find out if an earlier accident or traffic jam has cleared.

It can be accessed via the travel news link on the BBC's mobile homepage.

The service can also be personalised via a favourites list designed to give swift access to information in one click.

Public transport covered includes rail, ferries, air travel and the tube.
