BBC and Spotify to keynote MWC

GSMA keeps the emphasis on content as it confirms star speaker line-up.

New keynote speakers confirmed for the 2010 Mobile World Congress include Erik Huggers, director of future media and technology at the BBC, and Daniel Ek, CEO of Spotify.

Other more 'traditional' additions include the CEOs of Adobe, Bharti Airtel, China Unicom and Research In Motion.

The GSMA has also confirmed the details of the full-day application developer conferences to support its App Planet project in Hall 7. The schedule is as follows:
 
* Monday, 15 February – Vodafone 360 Developer Conference
* Tuesday, 16 February – BlackBerry Developer Day by RIM
* Wednesday, 17 February – Sony Ericsson Application Developer Conference
* Thursday, 18 February – WIPJam Application Developer Conference
 
Vodafone has joined RIM as an official sponsor of App Planet, which will feature more than 120 exhibiting companies, such as Alcatel-Lucent, Intel, Qualcomm, RIM and Skype, among others.

The GSMA expects between 3,000 and 5,000 application developers to visit App Planet over four days. 

Mobile Entertainment magazine will be distributed throughout Hall 7 for the whole of MWC week.

Tthe 2010 Mobile World Congress takes place on February 15th to 18th at the Fira in Barcelona.
