Is Amazon's Kindle under Fire?
The Kindle Fire's official release is imminent and if you were to speak to a 100 different analysts about the device, it's likely a hundred different answers would be returned.
Amazon's forthcoming tablet has seen a favour divide as some claim it is set to become the new tablet leader, while others consider the very idea poppycock.
US bookstore Barnes & Noble has announced a new Nook e-reader called the Nook Tablet as it expands its lineup.
According to documents procured by Engadget, the device will be faster and lighter than its predecessors and features include:
* Seven-inch colour touchscreen
* Dual-core processor
* 16GB storage
* RRP $249

So for an extra $50 users will be able to double the 8GB memory of the Kindle Fire, which retails at $199. On top of this the Nook Tablet weighs 14.1 ounces making it lighter than the chubby rival Fire, which weighs 14.6 ounces.
The new Nook is set to begin shipping on November 16th, a day behind the Kindle Fire's shipping date and pre-orders start on November 7th after the Nook press event in New York.
Upon the Nook Tablet's release the Nook Colour will be reduced from $249 to $199 hotting competition up even further for the Fire.
