Dating service claims to be the fourth largest social network in the world.
Russian owned and London-based, Badoo is available in 35 languages in 180 countries on the web, and also as an iPhone, Android, Facebook and Blackberry app.
The location-based service lets people connect, chat, and meet up with other people nearby.
Users sign up for free but then pay to receive a promoted status and increase the visibility of their profile. These ‘pay for promotion’ features and subscriptions are currently generating $100m a year.
Meanwhile, the 130m member number is 62 per cent up on last year.
Bart Swanson, COO of Badoo, said, “With approximately 125,000 new users signing up every day, and over seven billion monthly page views, we are continuing to grow at an impressive rate.
