Turkish operator to offer vid tones for a monthly subscription.
Users of Avea's Patlican content portal are now able to use video ringtones courtesy of technology provided by Vringo.Initially available as a 60-day free trial followed by a monthly subscription, the service is populated by content from the likes of INGrooves as well as local Turkish partners.
Avea will be supporting the launch with a marketing campaign, including print, web and mobile channels.
Vringo has been working hard to promote the vid tone concept, which it says fits naturally within a subscription model.
The company began offering its service in India back in August and recently unveiled its first 'Vringo Channels'.
