Aurora Feint has announced a new initiative designed to highlight the best games using its OpenFeint community platform for iPhone.
It's called OpenFeint Gold, and involves promoting games on the OpenFeint website, dashboard and on partner sites.
The company has already anointed its first gold game: popular tower defence title Fieldrunners, which was developed by Subatomic Studios.
The company is launching an updated version of the game before Christmas, including new features as well as the OpenFeint functionality for community aspects.
Aurora Feint says there are now more than 300 games on the App Store using its platform, with more than 700 currently in development. The company recently sold a stake to Japanese mobile social giant DeNA to help fuel its growth.
