Aspiro sells off remaining mobile entertainment business

Focusing on music, TV, video and 'mobile solutions'.

Aspiro has announced that it's selling off its remaining Mobile Entertainment business to Finnish firm Exsol Oy.

The initial purchase price is for €100,000, with an earn-out minimum of €200,000 over a two-year period, based on 15% of the payouts from operators.

Aspiro sold off its mobile entertainment business in Norway, Sweden and Denmark to Lobus Mobil back in June, so the new sale divests its Finnish business too.

"We are streamlining our operations and focusing mainly on streaming services in music, television and video, as well as business solutions in the Mobile Solutions area," says CEO Gunnar Sellæg.

"We see very high growth potential in the future and it is therefore positive that we can focus even more on our core business."

The company announced a new customer for its WiMP streaming music platform last week in Portugal. Aspiro didn't say who the customer was, but the same day, operator Portugal Telecom launched its Music Box service - it's fair to assume this was the client.
