Aspiro says users are hot for its WiMP and Music Box services, after their respective apps topped the App Store charts in Denmark and Portugal respectively this weekend.
In Denmark, the WiMP streaming music service has been launched with telco Telenor. In Portugal, the technology has been used for Portugal Telecom's Music Box service on a white-label basis.
"Reaching number one spot in the App Store in two countries on the same day is very encouraging for Aspiro and the music streaming business," says Aspiro MD Per Einar Dybvik.
"Our focus on being best on local music, first with new releases and the easiest service to use, coupled with our ability to both deliver branded products as well as fully white-labelled solutions to mobile operators and ISPs is paying dividends."
Aspiro recently sold off the last elements of its legacy mobile entertainment business, and is now focusing on WiMP and its mobile TV operations.
