Veteran B2B firm re-brands and targets a broader customer base.
Historically, Arvato was known as a content aggregator to operators and others during the early personalisation-led days of the business.
Back then it was a division of German content giant Bertelsmann, but it was sold to Mondia (with funding from the Abu Dhabi Group) in 2009.
Now, Mondia plans to target broader sectors including handset makers and media brands.
It will combine the Arvato tech with its own product platform called the “Mondia Entertainment Universe” to give partners a solution that can manage, distribute and bill mobile entertainment from one place to any device.
Dr Amadeo Rahmann, CEO of Mondia, said: “Arvato mobile was closely associated with the early generation of mobile phones and the ringtone business.

Mondia Media has 250 employees in Hamburg, London, Dubai, Rome, Madrid, Moscow, Mumbai, Johannesburg and São Paulo.
