New line of connected portable media players will have full web browsing capabilities.
Archos is to use Opera's browser software in its latest range of Internet Media Tablets - the 5, 5g and 7.All models are wi-fi-enabled, but the 5g (which launches in December) is particularly interesting seeing as it has 3G/HSDPA connectivity.
The Opera 9 browser (with Flash support) is available free of charge to Archos Internet Media Tablet owners and will be automatically activated upon device registration.
Henri Crohas, Archos CEO, said: "With the web in focus for our new Internet Media Tablets, we were really able to unleash Opera's full potential and give our customers a faster and fuller web plus Widgets."
