Pricing starts at just £129.99 for the 7 & 8 devices, which go on sale in April
Archos has unveiled two large screen Android-based tablets in the form of the Archos 7 and Archos 8 Home Tablets.
The Archos 7 Tablet sports a 7’’ touch screen, is 12mm thick and weighs 350g. It comes with built-in Wi-Fi and USB connectivity. It'll be available in two flavours (2GB and 8GB), priced at £129.99 and £149.99, respectively.
The Archos 8 Tablet, meanwhile, comes with an 8’’ touch screen and has been optimsed for web browsing and video content. It's measures 12mm thick and weighs in at 400g.
It will be available with 4GB of memory for £129.99 from May 2010.
Owners of the Archos 7 & 8 will be able to download Android apps from the Archos Appslib store.
