UK developer collective launches Chuck's Challenge 3D.
Last last year, AppyNation was launched as an organisation through which independent UK developers could share marketing and tech resouces while retaining control of their IP.
It has the support of National Endowment for Science, Technology and the Arts (NESTA) and industry associations TIGA and UKIE, and counts as founder members Finblade, Proper Games, Niffler, Onteca, Supersonic and Lightning Fish.
Now, AppyNation is moving from idea to viable business. It's just confirmed the launch of Niffler's Chuck's Challenge 3D game on PC and Mac, with Unity-enabled Android and iOS versions to follow shortly.
AppyNation was created when NESTA asked UKIE boss Andy Payne to establish a ‘Games Consortium’ to help UK developers explore digital distribution in a collaborative fashion.
