More critical acclaim for Firemint's Flight Control game.

iPhone app discovery site AppStoreHQ has published a chart of the most-talked-about apps of 2009, based on mentions on dozens of tech blogs and sites during the year.

Firemint's Flight Control game comes top of the list, followed by messaging app BeejiveIM 3.0 with Push, and game Pocket God. Essentially, what was hot were games and social networking apps.

The full Top 10 is as follows:

1. Flight Control (game)
2. BeejiveIM 3.0 with Push (social networking)
3. Pocket God (game)
4. Real Racing (game)
5. Facebook (social networking)
6. IM+ (social networking)
7. Tweetie 2 (social networking)
8. Quickoffice Mobile Office Suite (business)
9. MobileNavigator North America (navigation)
10. Doodle Jump (games)

Do blogs lead to big sales? Well, the games in particular on this list were huge sellers last year - although that sales success may itself have led to even more mentions on the blogs, so it's hard to trace which is cause and which is effect.
