AppTrends dentifies the apps people are tweeting about right now.
The three most tweeted-about iPhone apps at the time of writing are Wired Magazine, NFB Films for iPad and, er, 푸딩 카메라 (a Japanese app whose English title is Pudding Camera).
How do I know that? Appsfire's new AppTrends chart, which was launched yesterday.
The company is describing it as a "live ranking for apps", based on analysing the apps that people are posting about on Twitter.
That's not just based on the number of tweets, but also on the influence - how many people are retweeting them. It also filters out repeat tweets from individual users - for example companies promoting their own apps.
Appsfire reckons its chart will identify hot apps faster than the App Store chart, which is based on sales/downloads.

AppTrends also lets you browse recent tweets on each of the ranked apps. Soon, it will let users split it by country and app genre, and introduce notifications for developers.
