This week's event had almost 6000 delegates and 250 speakers.

The Apps World conference held in Earls Court 2, London, earlier this week was the biggest of its type in Europe.

The multi-platform apps industry conference and exhibition had nearly 6000 delegates, 170 exhibitors and 250 speakers across ten different tracks and smashed attendance records at previous events.

The conference covered everything from mobile marketing and video chat apps, through to game development, mobile payments and new operating systems.

Plus, I came away with loads of swag, including a USB stick shaped like a moustache and a particularly cool t-shirt (thanks Atari).

This year also featured The Appsters Awards, an awards ceremony celebrating industry innovation and excellence across 12 awards categories.

Apps World founder Ian Johnson said: “We’re very happy with how this week’s show has gone. The growth we’ve seen around Apps World this year is a clear indication of how rapidly the apps industry is developing in general. Following the success of this show, we’re confident we’ll be able to deliver a bigger and better experience again for 2013.”
