Lets people buy products, including the new iPhone 4.
Apple has launched a dedicated iPhone app for its Apple Store online site.
The app lets people buy products and accessories, read customer reviews, find their nearest Apple Store retailer, and make appointments for personal shopping and support issues.
Apple is also touting the app as an easy way for iPhone and iPod touch users to buy or reserve the new iPhone 4 - for which pre-orders opened today.
At the time of writing, the app is available in the US App Store, but not in the UK.
Its release has clearly been timed alongside the opening of iPhone 4 pre-orders. It joins several other Apple-developed apps on the store, including Remote, Texas Hold'em and MobileMe, as well as iPad apps iBooks, Pages, Keynote and Numbers.
