2m tracks and 450,000 albums.
Apple sold more than 450,000 Beatles albums on iTunes in the first week after the Fab Four's catalogue went on sale for the first time, the company has revealed.
What's more, two million individual songs by the band have also been bought from the store, according to figures revealed to Billboard.
Separately, Nielsen SoundScan's figures for the US charts revealed that 13,000 Beatles digital box-sets were sold in that country in the first week: close to $2 million of gross revenues at $149.99 a pop.
For now, Apple has exclusive digital rights to sell the Beatles catalogue, with other music services not expected to get their chance until some point in 2011.
