Murderdrome taken down from App Store. Won't somebody think of the children?

Apple has pulled the plug on a graphic novel called Murderdrome, which was being offered for download via the iPhone/iPod Touch App Store.

The content of the comic was said by Apple to contravene its stated code.

Murderdrome's creator, Infurious Comics, has used its website to urge Apple to introduce some kind of ratings system to the App Store.

They said: "Here at infurious, we would love to work with Apple to ensure a content rating system can be put in place to allow material that is no more offensive than many of the R rated films available to download on iTunes."

TechRader also has some follow-up.
