Should I shop or not?
AppleInsider has uncovered a new patent application entitled 'Social Networking in Shopping Environments', which seems to suggest a social networking tool that would let iPhone users access product info and then share views with friends.
Apple's solution would allow a community discussion within one app. In one example given, a shopper asks friends, "Should I buy this?" In another, a husband asks "Help, I need birthday gift ideas for my wife. Will she like this?"
If it goes ahead, the service would be Apple's second social network after the music-based iTunes Ping.
