And owners of the 3G-enabled version will manage their data plan on the device.
Apple has started taking pre-orders for its iPad tablet in the US, with people able to reserve a maximum of two devices each for the April 3rd launch.
As pre-orders opened, Apple updated the iPad section of its website with new information about the device.
This includes the news that native iPad apps will get their own section on the App Store. "iPad apps appear in a special section of the store, so you can find and download them easily," says the blurb.
Apple has also released more information on how iPad owners will manage their data tariffs with US operator AT&T.
They'll be able to sign up for a month's data for $14.99 (250MB) or $29.99 (unlimited) on the device itself, monitor their data usage from the iPad's Settings menu, and renew or cancel the plan at any time.
