Helps identify those strange pseudonyms.
Apple has tweaked its Game Center community to show players' real names when requesting or accepting invites from other users.
Anyone accessing the Game Center app on their iPhone, iPod touch or iPad today sees a reworked Terms & Conditions, which explains that:
"We have changed the Game Center terms and conditions to provide you notice that if you send a friend invitation, the full name associated with your Apple ID will be shared with the recipient. If you accept a friend invitation, the full name associated with your Apple ID will be shared with the sender."
It's a useful change, since previously, there was no way of knowing who was adding you, unless they included a welcome message with their real name.
Game Center still doesn't allow users to find friends using their Facebook or Twitter logins, although the latter was recently added to Apple's Ping music social network.
