End of association with rival OS following Apple's $50m acquisition.
Apple made the buyout for search startup Chomp in February to help address discovery in an App Store that offers around 600,000 apps.
At the time, Chomp supported Android too but Apple has left the Google alliance dead in the water, according to to GigaOM, which cites a revamped Chomp website that includes a search for iPhone and iPad apps only.
While Android search is no longer available, the Chomp app has also been removed from Google Play, which leaves room for Chomp rivals to develop their respective user bases.
