The $1.99 app was taken down after protests on the blogosphere, and there was consternation that the book, sold by Ricardo Reyes, was rated 9+, and therefore deemed appropriate for anyone over the age of nine.
It was in Spanish, which might have helped it slip through, but it's not the best excuse – especially as it has a red Swastika on the 'cover'.
The incident prompted more discussion of Apple's approvals policy, given that the firm has prohibited erotic, but presumably less inflammatory material like the Kama Sutra.
In fact, there was another mini-storm when Apple compelled Someecards to remove greetings cards that mock public figures.
