Wired uncovers Phillip Shoemaker's sizable body of bodily function apps
Apple's App Store director Phillip Shoemaker is selling iPhone apps, including Animal Farts and iWiz, through his company Gray Noodle, according to Wired.
If accurate, the news is eyebrow-raising for two reasons - firstly because Apple is often criticised for its hard line stance against apps that are deemed 'inappropriate', and secondly because Apple employees aren't allowed to sell their own apps.
Apple told Wired that the apps were submitted by Shoemaker before he joined them, though the report alleges that three of the seven apps in question were submitted after that date.
Shoemaker himself appears to have moved quickly to limit any fallout by updating or removing references to the apps on various social networking sites.
