10,000 apps available to 145 million subscribers.

Appia currently supplies white label app stores to 350 million mobile subscribers in 175 countries, and claims to have delivered over 280 million downloads since June 2008.

Its 40 partner storefronts include Opera Software, Telcel, Vodacom South Africa.

But for all that this is still a massive deal for the firm.

The resultant Vodafone Application Store will content from local providers including Hungama, India Games, Nazara, Spice, plus Vodafone-branded apps like Portfolio Tracker, Vodafone TV, and Chhota Comics.

The range will include free and paid applications on Android, Java, Symbian and Blackberry.
