Appcelerator’s open source Titanium platform lets developers build applications once using web programming languages and convert them to run on mobile and desktop platforms, including iPhone OS, Android, Windows, Mac and Linux.
The company was founded in 2007 and has raised a total of $15.2 million.
Nearly 98,000 developers have used its platform to create 9,400 apps.
