Gambling company follows up 2012’s most downloaded UK betting app with new iPad edition.
Boasting the UK’s most downloaded iPhone betting app in 2012 – 550,000 downloads since February, no less - bookmaker William Hill has now released an app for the iPad.
Aimed at sports fans looking to bet on the move, the app offers bets every sport and event found on William Hill’s official web page. It includes more in-play markets than any other betting app, best odds guaranteed on all UK & Irish Horse Racing and quick access to accumulators and ‘hot picks’ lists, allowing users to see what everyone else is backing without having to search for it.
Juergen Reutter, director of Mobile for William Hill, said: “Mobile betting is booming. Customers have been clamouring for a specific William Hill app for the iPad and this is simply the best betting app available. Whether used as a second screen solution whilst watching sport at home, or simply whilst on the move, we’re sure it will become a favourite way for many of our customers to bet.”
These days, app betting accounts for around 30 per cent of all William Hill’s online betting and is predicted to reach 50 per cent over the next couple of years. And, while 2,500 bets per minute were made via William Hill mobile in the run-up to this year’s Grand National, this volume is set to grow significantly in 2013 as user numbers grow.
William Hill’s iPad users will be able to bet on 1,001 Football Leagues, divisions or Cup Competitions from 97 countries worldwide, from the Barclays Premier League or the Bundesliga to the Pakistan Premier Football League. Overall, approximately 40,000 football matches will have been bet on in-play with William Hill by the end of 2012 with up to 180 markets available pre-match and 100 in-play opportunities per match. Of the 153 Premier League games this season, William Hill has offered the top price on the favourites on over 100 of the matches played – more than any other bookmaker or exchange.
The iPad app is designed to be quick and easy to use, allowing users to register, manage secure deposits and withdrawals and bet on any market from within the app.
