BBC Worldwide drafted in digital design agency Nimble Mobile to create the Top Gear News app, which will work globally across iOS, Android, BlackBerry, Symbian, and Windows Phone.
The app will give users access to exclusive clips, galleries, stories and interviews from the Top Gear gang.
Tim Bichara, managing partner and founder, Nimble Mobile, said: "Top Gear is one of BBC Worldwide’s biggest global brands.
"The show has been sold to over 198 international territories and TopGear.com receives over five million unique users per month so naturally we are very excited to be part of the launch of this flagship mobile application for the brand."
