Scores film popularity from across the web using feedback from Twitter, Facebook and film sites.
The BAFTA Film Awards ceremony takes place on Sunday, February 12th and phone operator Orange is sponsoring the showdown.
With little over two weeks to go the firm has launched the Orange Film Pulse, which is a web-based tool that calculates the online public's opinion of movies.
Using an algorithm the tool gathers positive and negative opinions from Twitter, Facebook, websites and blogs across the net to record a score out of 100, along with a record of the number of tweets and Like 'love' each film has received.
Additionally, Orange customers using Film Pulse can enter a string of competitions to win BAFTA prizes such as screenings, tickets and more.
Spencer McHugh, Brand Director at Orange UK said: “The internet offers an incredible wealth of sources and opinion on film, but that also means the experience of searching for a definitive answer or opinion can be confusing and time consuming.

"With Orange Film Pulse, we’re offering a simple and easy way to see what the overall opinion from the web is, and encouraging film lovers to get involved and share their love for film, all of which contributes to that film’s overall score.”
