Designed to compliment its recently revamped website.
Taking what must have been a leaf out of serial site changer Facebook's book, MSN recently gave its site an overhaul in order to focus on a wider variety of news, premium and interactive features.
The app has been specially optimised for the tablet format and features 'channels' for news, sport, entertainment, lifestyle and cars, while handpicked stories and videos are highlighted throughout the app by editors.
Hotmail, Messenger and Bing search have all been integrated into the app too, to provide users with one-click access.
Additionally, the app has been designed to appease advertisers with new opportunities for banner, video, sponsorship and exclusive content.
Peter Clifton, executive producer, MSN: "We want to bring our audience closer to the people and information that matters most to them, by providing the content they want, whenever they want it, and on the device they choose. MSN was already available on mobile, PC and Xbox 360 and so creating an iPad app was the next natural step."
"The MSN editorial team produces a consistent stream of high-quality, exclusive content that brands are keen to be associated with. This new app will give brands another way to reach our extensive audience whilst they are on the move. The MSN iPad app is a further extension of our unrivalled ability to help advertisers reach audiences across multiple screens."
The MSN iPad app is free. For more info, click here.
