The first ticketing app to support 'real time travel' across Britain.
CrossCountry Trains specialises in travel across Britain, and is part of the Arriva Group, which supplies more than one billion journeys across Europe each year.
The app has been created by m-ticketing specialist Masabi as the first of its kind to use 'real time' to provide travel information such as departures, downloadable tickets and more that users can access on the website.
m-tickets are sent in the form of 2D barcodes and other readable formats, activated by the user before boarding. This will allow inspectors to verify them using a barcode scanner.
There is an option to link in-application purchases to the user’s web account, which allows record keeping of all tickets.
Transactions are secured using US government certified, EncryptME security system and extra features are due to follow. For some handsets this will include geo-location.
