Invites happy shoppers to unite and share bargain details with each other.
Community-based website Hot UK Deals – or HUKD – has launched Basket Buddy to complement its online offering.
The app allows users to connect and share their bargain-based deals with each other, in turn saving money when satisfying their shopping needs.
Users can also upload product photos and barcode details via the app, while there is also a GPS function to search for nearby deals.
HUKD was recently used to spread word of Tesco selling new iPads for £49 and pricing Mini Eggs for just half a penny, and now app users can do the same.
Paul Nikkel, HUKD founder, said: "We see Basket Buddy as a real deal hunting game-changer; a vital weapon in the professional shoppers’ armoury. We’re taking the community into the palm of our members’ hands, allowing them to find and share deals with the HUKD community when they’re out and about.
"With this app we want to cut a swathe through the noise of retailer offers – including the offers brands pay the voucher sites to promote – to find the real gems, that’s what our members really excel at."
The app is available for free on Android and iOS.
