Former EVP of devices at Nokia plays a round.
Vanjoki left Nokia in September after being passed over for the CEO job in favour of Stephen Elop.
Now he's back, investing in golf tech form GameBook, which will also be joining the board of the Finnish start-up.
Apparently he likes a bit of golf, although ME was led to understand his real passion was basketball.
GameBook delivers live stats and real-time game information to players while on the course, with a social/sharing option built in.
Its products include a handheld device for golf facilities and tournaments; an iPhone App and the GameBook Clubhouse online community for golfers.

Yes, an iPhone app!
“I decided to invest in and join the board of directors of GameBook because the basic concept has already shown its value to the golf community – and, quite frankly, my personal trials just got me totally hooked, like almost everyone who has tried GameBook,” said Vanjoki.
Gamebook says stars such as Jack Nicklaus, Arnold Palmer and Stewart Cink use its system.
The terms of Vanjoki’s investment were not disclosed in GameBook’s news release. Other investors include Veraventure, European Tour player Mikko Ilonen, Stanley Cup winner Teemu Selanne and Apple Design Award winner Elias Pietilä.
