Another senior mobile exec leaves Yahoo

David Katz follows Ko, Gupta and Lazar out of the door.

Another week, another mobile executive leaving Yahoo. This time it's VP for mobile, North America David Katz exiting the company.

All Things Digital broke the news, saying that Katz's departure is part of a wider reorganisation, with his replacement being business development exec Raymond Stern.

It's just a couple of weeks since Katz was enthusing publicly about Yahoo's mobile advertising growth, saying that when it comes to advertisers, the company had "too many to keep track of".

His exit follows the departure of other senior mobile executives at Yahoo, including SVP of audience, mobile and local David Ko. He left early this month to take a new role at social gaming firm Zynga.

Meanwhile, former European mobile head Mitch Lazar is now heading up mobile search startup Taptu as it pushes into the US market.
