Chillingo taking its feathery hit to more platforms.
Mobile games publisher Chillingo has announced that it will release Angry Birds on Sony's PlayStation Store this Autumn.
The game has been a huge hit on iPhone, recently passing the 6.5 million paid downloads mark, with another 11 million downloads of its Lite version.
Its $4.99 iPad version has also been bought by more than 200,000 gamers, but now Chillingo - and the game's developer Rovio - have their sights set on other gaming platforms.
The new version will be available for PSP and PS3 as part of Sony's minis service, and will include new content - a new world, a bonus golden egg and a new 'Big Brother' bird.
"Angry Birds’ addictive gameplay, amusing antics and phenomenal record-breaking popularity will bring an unparalleled experience as a minis title," says Chillingo's head of publishing Johnny Coghlan.

"The game’s mass consumer appeal will surely entertain fans of all ages for hours."
Angry Birds is well on its way to becoming a cross-platform megabrand. Rovio has even been having talks with movie studios about taking it to the big screen.
